Lake Management

The study team, also known as the Lake Management Planning Committee, consists of committed stakeholders who volunteer their time to set goals, analyze data, and work with industry leaders to develop a 5-year plan for our lake.

This plan is crucial for providing direction on weed management, harvesting, fish stocking, and other important aspects. Additionally, it is necessary for securing grant funding.

Weed Harvesting

To harvest weed on a lake, specialized boats equipped with cutting blades are to cut the weed at the base. The cut weed is then collected and removed from the water. This process helps to maintain the health of the lake and prevent the overgrowth of weed, which can negatively impact the ecosystem.
