What is the district and why should I learn more about it?
-
A Wisconsin Lake District is a local government created to protect and improve the health of our lakes and surrounding waterways. Working with residents, local communities, and conservation partners, the district helps preserve clean water, supports recreation, manages invasive species, and plans for the long-term care of our lakes.
-
Whether you're a year-round resident or seasonal homeowner, the Lake District is here to help protect the natural resources that make this area a wonderful place to live, visit, and enjoy.
-
Lake Districts have monthly meetings along with one Annual Meeting where projects are discussed and budgets are set. These budgets will impact all members of the Lake District and are paid for through your property taxes.
